This game is an adaptation of the Atari arcade game of the same name originally released in 1976.
The object of the game is to remove all the bricks at the top of the screen. You do this by moving the paddle at the bottom of the screen (controlled by moving your mouse left and right) to keep the ball from exiting the bottom of the playing area.
Each time the ball does reach the bottom of the playing area you lose a life. If you lose three lives the game is over.
As bricks are removed from the game you score points. The value of the bricks increases as you move toward the top of the screen. The max possible score is 448.
The difficulty level of the game increases with time. The speed of the ball increases as bricks are removed and, when the ball first hits the top of the playing area, the size of the paddle decreases.
